Another issue was why it took the time it took in order for Lost Ark to arrive in the west. It's true that the game's Korean release came in the year 2019but it was only released internationally this year Lost Ark Gold. Park didn't really have an answer to the question of the reason Amazon hasn't approached Smilegate earlier, but he did say that Amazon took the decision due to the popularity of Lost Ark within the East.
He points out that entertainment is increasingly international and global, with Korean music, movies and TV shows beginning to gain popularity throughout the West. According to Park the only thing that is expected of Korea is that Korean video games will be the same. Amazon is, as it appears, was not the first American firm to benefit of Korea's potential gaming.
Lost Ark, the South Korean action-RPG MMO which is localized by Amazon has gotten off to a very successful beginning. The game has become one of the highest popular titles on Steam, maintaining a very healthy player base now over one month since its launch. However, Lost Ark isn't without its difficulties and one issue in particular has recently reignited accusations of pay-to-win monetization. The issue, which is closely linked to the update to the game in March Lost Ark that is causing a direct response from Amazon and an alteration in future plans.
The issue the issue, which is relevant to Lost Ark players who may not be aware of the issue, has something to do with be related to the game's ending grind. Endgame in Lost Ark is broken up into tiers, each tier increasing in difficulty and demanding a significant amount of time investment and resources to progress through. The third level of Lost Ark is particularly difficult and gruelling, with a specific focus on a system known as "Honing" that demands massive amounts of resources for small power boosts. Naturally, these resources can be bought with real money, which in turn has resulted in players accusing Amazon of implementing a pay-to-win system.
Up until recently, the controversy wasn't too intense. It's because Lost Ark featured a comparatively small amount of content in the third tier. There was no need to refine your skills in order to access any item. Lost Ark's March patch altered that by introducing in the Argos Abyss Raid Buy Lost Ark Gold. Argos requires an item level of 1.370. It is a game that demands players do extensive tier-three honing -- and frequently requires players pay real money to make progress. The debate resurfaced, with a long video from Twitch streamer Asmongold who criticized Amazon's choices. _________________ gdfrh |
